The College of Direct Support (CDS) The College of Direct Support is a learning gateway for contemporary best practices for Direct Support Professionals. By incorporating web-based learning, backed by nationally recognized curricula, the CDS is designed to promote a profession of direct support.
| Currently, The College of Direct Support serves as the gateway to the WIN Program. We believe that whatever your career choice, an advanced knowledge of the people we serve and the best practices surrounding their care are essential to building a successful career in healthcare. The employees who enter the WIN program will be employees who have elected to complete the CDS credentialing program. All employees who meet the criteria for “good standing” may participate in the College of Direct Support (CDS) with a recommendation from the local unit, and as an opening becomes available.
Graduates of this program earn a Direct Support Professional Certificate and RHA Howell, Inc. celebrates this accomplishment by hosting quarterly graduation ceremonies.
Assessments Should you participate in the WIN Program, you will be invited to complete various assessments at a Community College in your county. These assessments are designed to help you better understand your career choice and whether it is a good ft based on your skill level and personality. This is a great way for you to discover some untapped strengths, learn new things about yourself and uncover the careers that will allow you to apply your newly discovered abilities and strengths. |
